Business Tourist Visa
A person who wishes to temporarily reside in Canada to carry out international business activities is called a business tourist. For example, a business tourist would be a person who visits Canada to meet clients conducting business with the tourist’s company based in a country outside of Canada. This is applicable only if a person intends to:
• Search for methods to grow business;
• Investments
• Advancing business relationships
Plan to stay for a duration of a maximum of six months
No intention of entering the Canadian labor market
Businesses and source of income lie outside Canada
Proper documents to support the visa application
Meeting the basic entry requirements with a valid travel document, suitably a passport
Sufficient funds to carry out the stay and to return to the country of origin
Intention to leave Canada as soon as the visit ends
No criminal activity or neither a security or health risk to the citizens of Canada
Trading of products, goods or services from Canada for or on behalf of any other company or government outside Canada.
Attending meetings, Trade exhibitions, conferences or exclusive conventions.
Providing management services regarding pre-sales and post-sales.
Attending training with a company that has its main branch in Canada and branches in other countries.
Providing training to a branch of a company in Canada that has its main branch in another country.
Product or management training. Purchasing goods or services for business purposes.
Any person who holds a Business Visitor Visa is free to travel anywhere in Canada during their visit. He or she can carry out all activities that a normal visitor carries out. For example, visiting relatives, friends, sight seeing and exploring the country’s many attraction spots. During an individual’s stay as a Business Visitor, the visitor can be a part of business meetings, trade exhibitions, interact about innovative business opportunities and search for options to extend their stay in the country. As long as the visa is valid, the visitor has no limitations to explore the country without needing any other immigration visa such as a travel visa or work permit.
