Investors Entrepreneur and Self-Employed Visa

The Canadian government promotes people to invest and start businesses in the country to contribute to the economy and thereby earning profit and boosting international exposure.
Different Visa categories
There are four different types of business visa categories, they are:
- Start-up Visa
- Self Employed Person Visa
- Investors Visa
- Entrepreneur Visa
Start-up Visa:
The start-up visa category is for international skilled and experienced entrepreneurs who wish to start a new business in Canada. New business paves the way to new job opportunities that will result in the contribution of the growing economy. Anyone who has an innovative business or start-up idea is more than welcome in Canada.
Eligibility criteria for the Start-Up Visa program are as follows:
- Support letter from a nominated organization: Whilst applying for a Start-up visa it is important that you have the support of a designated organization. You must submit a letter of support from a designated organization along with your visa application.
- Language Proficiency: You must have the required score in either of the two languages (English or French), i.e. a score of CLB 5. And must provide the scorecard of all four abilities that are, listening, speaking, reading and writing.
- Availability of Funds: Proof of funds is required to be submitted along with your applications to prove that you have enough funds to support your lifestyle in the country.
Self-Employed Person Visa:
This visa program is for those individuals who wish to be self-employed after they move to Canada. Applicants are supposed to have experience or skills in cultural, athletic or farm management activities, as this is what makes them eligible for the Self-Employed Person Visa program.
Eligibility criteria for the Self-Employed Person Visa program are as follows:
An applicant can be referred to as eligible only if he or she has the proper experience.
- The applicant must have participated in any international cultural or athletics event or activity.
- Previous experience as a self-employed individual in cultural or athletics activities.
- Experience in self-employed farm management activities.

Investors Visa:
The Canadian Government is not accepting Investor visa applications since July 2012. Only the Quebec Immigration Investor program is running as of now.
Entrepreneur Visa:
Citizenship and Immigration Canada is not accepting Entrepreneur visa applications. only the applications that have been received before July 2011 are being processed. This is scheduled to open once regulated by the government.
Medical and security requirements.
The applicants and the accompanying family are required to submit proper medical and character certificates.
