Tourist or Visitor Visa
A visitor visa is a temporary resident visa is a kind of a sticker or an official document stamped on a passport. A visa serves as proof that a country permits you to enter the country. It indicates that an applicant is eligible to enter Canada.
A major number of people need a visitor visa to travel to Canada. A person might also need a visitor visa if he or she is transiting through an airport in Canada on your way to your destined country.
If a person is in Canada on a visitor visa, he or she can stay for up to six months. When a person enters Canada, the border officials can allow you to stay for approximately a period of 6 months. The officials will inform you about the date you need to depart from the country in your passport. There is a possibility that you might also receive a document that is called a visitor record, which has the date by which you have to leave. Even if a person does not get a stamp in his or her passport, the person can stay for six months from the date of entry in Canada or until the passport expires, if either of it comes first.
A person might need a visitor visa or an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization). The document that you need for entry depends on:

- The country issuing the travel document
- Applicants nationality
- Applicants method of travel to Canada for, whether it is by air, water or land.
An applicant is supposed to meet some requirements to get a visitor visa. The requirements are as follows:
- Have valid travel documents, most suitably a passport
- The applicant should be in good health conditions.
- The applicant should have no criminal or immigration-related records
- The applicant should have proof that he or she has ties—a job, home, assets or family—that will take him or her back to their native country.
- Proof of sufficient funds for staying in Canada
Inadmissibility to Canada
There are chances that some people might not be admissible to Canada. This means that they are not permitted to enter the country. There are several reasons to be inadmissible in Canada. These reasons include:
- Being involved in any kind of criminal activity
- Any type of human rights violations
- Organized criminal activity
Other reasons that make a person inadmissible are health issues, security or financial reasons.
