Canada Express Entry
What is the Express Entry system for migrating to Canada?
The EE or Express Entry system is a program launched by the IRCC (Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada) in 2015. Skilled and qualified applicants from around the world are invited by the Canadian government to submit their Expression Of Interest (EOI) profile to the Canadian Express Entry System. The Immigration Refugees Citizenship Canada or IRCC evaluates the profiles score based on six significant factors. The Express Entry system administers the applications received for Permanent Visas (PR) in three immigration programs:
- Federal Skilled Worker Program
- Canada Experience Class
- Federal Skilled Trades Program
The IRCC then sends ITA (Invite To Apply) for permanent residence to the selected applicants.
What are the selection factors of the Express Entry program?
In the Express Entry system, the IRCC selects skilled applicants on a point-based system. The points allocated to the enrolled aspirants are based on the key profile elements that are:
- Education: The educational competence will decide whether the application will be accepted or rejected by Canadian immigration. Foreign educational certificates must be evaluated by a designated Canadian organization, this will help decide the Canadian equivalent of foreign certificates.
- Work Experience: Work experience is another crucial factor based on which a skilled worker applicant will be rejected or accepted on their application. The actual amount of work experience is not determined but zero experience can lead to direct refusal.
- Age: The Federal skilled workers can be awarded points based on their age. The higher the age of the applicants, the lower the points they will achieve. The maximum points awarded are for the age of the applicant. If the applicant lies in the age group of 18 to 35 he or she is more likely to get more points.
- Arranged Employment: If an applicant has received a full-time job offer in Canada, it will assist in earning some points and qualifying for fast track options.
- Adaptability: If an applicant has some relevance with Canada concerning past visits, education, or relation with someone residing in Canada, he or she can earn points as it assures economic stability.

- The candidate has to submit an online Expression Of Interest form in Express Entry.
- Presenting the scorecard of the language test taken either in English or French or both.
- Foreign aspirants neet to produce the Education Credential Assessment report with equivalents to Canadian education.
- A minimum score of 67 points must be achieved in the key selection factors to be eligible to apply for the Express Entry system.
